happy78
I will be staying in Sedona on 5/14/06 and I want to get the best deal. I haven't used Priceline before and would appreciate your help with setting up a strategy. From what I can tell there are only 1 and 2 star hotels and resorts available. I'm fine with the 2 star. happy78
I would like to keep it under $65 but I am flexible. Link to comment
thereuare
Would you want to try for a Resort at your limit or would you rather just save the money for a 2*? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment

thereuare
There are no re-bid zones available when bidding for a 2* property. We see very little 2* and below bidding in this area, but I would start at $45 for a 2* hotel and raise the bid by $5 every 24 hours, but stop after 5 days if you get to $70 and are not yet accepted. happy78
I followed the advice in the previous post and got the Hilton Sedona Resort and spa for 5/14/06 @ $75! This seems like a good price. The rate on the hotel website is $149.00. Here is the strategy I used as posted in the previous post:At the resort level two re-bid zones are available. I would test the waters lower first although it may ultimatley take more.Select Resort...Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $70, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select Resort and re-bid zone2...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $80.This is the first time I have won so if you need any other info let me know. :) Link to comment
belgo
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, $115 isn't cutting it, at least for now. The Hilton's rate is currently $169 for our nights. I can only guess that they're selling more rooms our week. I'm going with a backup reservation there. Even the Hampton Inn is going for quite a bit (I believe is was around $144!). Link to comment
