dn_phoenix Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 I wanted to know a general idea about how much fare I should expect to pay for this roundtrip. I checked Jetblue and it's coming about $425 including taxes. Is there any chance the fare can be less? Thanks a lot in advance.
lowballer Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 If you can fly into PVD and go a day early or late in either direction it's MUCH cheaper, as low as $148 on NW.
dn_phoenix Posted March 8, 2006 Author Report Posted March 8, 2006 Thanks for the information. Unfortunately the dates and airports are fixed as I am booking for my in-laws who are new here. If $425 is a reasonable fare I will book with Jetblue. I am in Phoenix and I flew to east coast five years ago. So I have absolutely no idea about current fares. Thanks again.

dn_phoenix Posted March 9, 2006 Author Report Posted March 9, 2006 Airfare Checker is showing minimum total price of $422 roundtrip.
thereuare Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 I'm not familiar with this routing but the JetBlue fare doesn't seem to jump out at me as being anything much more remarkable than other fares since they're all about the same price (which is quite common in the airline industry). You can also try Travelocity"]Travelocity and choose their "my flight schedule is flexible" to see what the cheapest fare is for any timeframe... then compare that to your specific dates above. This will help you figure out how the above fare/dates compare to the typical range for this route. dn_phoenix Posted March 10, 2006 Author Report Posted March 10, 2006 I tried all flexible flights in Travelocity"]Travelocity using the link. It was not showing the flights I was looking for. Finally I had to book directly by splitting the outbound and return journey. I booked outbound for $125.20 per person in Delta and return for $238.10 per person in Jetblue. Thanks for all the help.
