Priceline Hotel: 3* Ontario Hilton Airport

I'm thinking this must be the La Quinta: 2* breakfast, pool, laundry. 3 rooms 3/24-3/26

I'm more interested in the 2.5* for the same dates that offers suites, shuttle, breakfast, pool, internet and business center but I'm paying for 3 rooms x 2 nights. Any clue which this might be also?

Hotwire is no longer offering anything in the Ontario Airport area for my dates which are 3/24 thru 3/26. We need 3 rooms and only want that area. I've made several bid attempts on my own and have blown it. Will have somebody else in our group try so we can try again. Can you help me with my strategy? I will greatly appreciate it.

Either 2.5* or 3* will do.

Rates are low so i'm somwehat surprised at your previous rejections.

I would try as follows, keeping in mind you still have a few weeks before your arrival.

Select 3* Ontario...

Bid $52, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $55, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 2.5* Ontario...

Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $54

Thanks I'll try that today. I generally wouldn't worry about the time factor, but one room is for my elderly parents and they're afraid that we'll be sleeping in our cars if I don't book now!

It didn't work! Can you believe it? I tried your strategy having my parents bid because I have another 48 hours to wait. There are plenty of refundable backups, so at least I can fall back on that. How frustrating.

Finally! I won the Hilton for $55 with my first try! I'll post my win in a new topic and I'll make a donation thru Paypal since I forgot to go thru Savings Barn.

Also, some family members would like to stay at the same hotel and have asked me to bid for them. What's the chance of getting the same hotel if I do it immediately?

I would think that your chances are good, but not guaranteed, of getting the same hotel... and more likely your chances are better if you bid now rather than wait.

I went right back in and got the Doubletree. Oh well, at least I saved them each about $50.

Will do. I booked the Doubletree rooms within an hour. I didn't get a confirmation from Priceline on this one so I'm not sure exactly how much time elapsed.
