Thanks for your help with these two. I am still undecided as Portola has good reviews but a few negative comments about Parking across the road and a few facilities. There is a Marriott next to it and I could use points to book so will decide over the next couple of days and finalise.

Not sure how many times you will be needing to go to/from your car, but unless you have plans for multiple trips with stops at the hotel inbetween i can't see this being much of a factor... or for an extra $3/nite you can valet instead of self-park.
