barbfam
Hi, Looking to ID hotel in San Diego Gaslight area. It is 4* for $114 on 3/18-3/20/2017 for 2 queen beds. Says it is "New to Hotwire" Also says 2001+ reviews on TripAdvisor and has 4 filled circles out of 5 on the TripAdvisor Rating. That only conforms to Hilton Bayfront per my review of all of the TripAdvisor hotels. (not many had more than 2001+ ratings, so it was somewhat easy). But Hilton Bayfront NOT new to hotwire and I did not think it called itself a resort. Business center,Fitness center,Internet access,Pet friendly,Pool(s, )Resort,Restaurant(s), Self-service laundry, Smoke-free rooms thanks!!! Link to comment
thereuare
Please start by following-up your previous Hotwire Nashville hotel thread with whatever you ended up doing for that trip, then reply here and we will have a look at your post above. Please remember to follow-up your threads with your wins/decisions as you make them (even if you don't ultimately use PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book direct, etc) as this help keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone... as well as being a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans. Also, I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you search using the EASY VIEW TAB of our BiddingHelper.com tool. (always use this method for your searches/purchases to ensure you're seeing the complete amenity set and for an easy comparison of PRICELINE vs. HOTWIRE, as well as to use our new IS THIS A GOOD PRICE feature). If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities (including any accessible amenities) then what you have listed above? ... and to avoid any confusion, please list the full name of the zone, as there are a few in this area that include the word Gaslamp. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Thanks. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment

It appears that you're referring to this one in the Gaslamp Quarter - Convention Center zone: 4* Gaslamp Quarter - Convention Center for $122.00 Resort Pet Friendly Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> if so, i would agree that the best guess here would be the Hilton San Diego Bayfront (ignore the "new to hotwire" designation as it's not meaningful, we have seen plenty of hotels that have had this label but have been reported to the board for quite some time) Not sure of your budget but you could also consider the following (confirm your dates on the landing page of any links provided below): 4* Gaslamp Quarter South - Convention Center for $179 Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> Omni San Diego Hotel which gets excellent reviews 4* Gaslamp Quarter for $164 Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> Hotel Indigo San Diego Gaslamp Quarter 4.5* Gaslamp Quarter for $164 Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> Kimpton Hotel Palomar San Diego Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. barbfam
OK, thanks, I would prefer OMNI and willing to pay extra for that, as compared to the Hilton Bayfront. And yes, to clarify, I am looking in Gaslight-Convention center region. I went to use the link for PRICELINE, as you instructed, (and the coupon code!) but found that like many Priceline deals, bed choice was NOT available. I am traveling with my 23yo son and really need 2 beds. HOTWIRE was allowing me to choose 2 beds for what is probably the Hilton Bayfront hotel. The OMNI does not seemed to be listed in any identifiable way on Hotwire right now. I am going to consider taking my chances and booking OMNI anyway through your link and hoping they will give me 2 beds... Link to comment
thereuare
Good luck and let us know how it goes. As an aside, so you can speak like a local, it's Gaslamp (and not Gaslight) Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. barbfam
Thanks for correcting me on the GASLAMP, not gaslight term. Still hanging to wait to see if there is bed choice for any of the hotels that I like, on Hotwire or Priceline. (OMNI is preferred hotel) Right now I have a refundable reservation, gov rate, at the OMNI, 2 guaranteed QUEEN beds at $410, for 2 nights, including taxes and fees, plus another $75 for late checkout at 4pm. The ability to pay 75 for guaranteed late checkout is a good amenity to me as my flight leaves at 10pm and I am only going for a couple of nights anyway. This is essentially the same deal I can get on PRICELINE EXPRESS, but no guarantee of 2 queen bed room. There is a convention going on so I think OMNI will be pretty filled up and I really want 2 beds. Link to comment
