Jenn507 Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 I see everyone talking about the Colonnade so I wanted to let you know about my experiance. I won a 2 night stay 2/9-2/11 and I also obtained this rate through priceline by choosing a 4 star range. In my opinion this hotel is actually at most a 3 star hotel. The rooms were small, but more importantly, the carpet was pulled from the wall, there was mold growing in the bathroom and the living area and hair floating in the bathtub. We were moved to another oom ( a standard room instead of the previous upgraded room) and it proved somewhat better. The hotel asked for a credit card on arrival for incidentals and to my surprise after checking my bank records they charged my card $ 272.00 twice and the reason given was that when we moved rooms the computer auto charged. I was able to get it taken care of and the Concierge Peter was very nice and tried to accommodate but unfortunately, that did not matter, as we could have gotten a much better hotel for the price. We did for the remainder of our trip stay at The Hyatt in the financial district and it was absolutely perfect, clean, comfortable with feather down beds. I highly reccommend this hotel, but even the Concierge Peter said he would rate his hotel, The Colonnade a 3 star hotel. Hope this helps.Jennifer
