Daniel1978
Hi @ all :) I'm planning on a vacation in NYC this June, and I am wondering if it is too early to bid for my favorite hotel - the Hyatt Regency Jersey City. The journey should be from 6/10 - 6/17. And YES, I am conscious of that bidding at Priceline could lead to the Doubletree as well. When entering these dates into Priceline.com, selecting a 3* upscale hotel in Jersey City, the message "Based on recent data, your price has only a small chance of being accepted" disappears at $52. Does this have to say anything ?However, would you suggest to bid now or wait until a certain date ?Regards,Daniel Link to comment

jittichai
The first two nights (Sat/Sun) and the last one (Fri), you should be able to get the Hyatt at $59 rate. Link to comment
blindman
Thereuare is more of an expert than me :) but the usual scenario with the Hyatt is that weekend bids of $55 can be won when their rate is in the $170-190.Jersey City HyattMid week is another matter as the hotel caters to businessmen and is usually well occupied.Look on Hotwire to see if their rate is favourable. You may have to bid for the weekend now and then play a waiting game for the midweek portion, with the risk of not getting the Hyatt.
