beldwell Posted November 8, 2016 Report Posted November 8, 2016 I'm looking for a hotel for the night of 12/23. I'm going to be in town to visit Macy's, the Christkindlmarket, dinner at the Walnut Room, and a play at the Oriental Theater. Since this is a very centralized trip, I'm hoping to get a hotel as close to the Macy's area as I can in case the weather is horrible. I am seeing a 4* Chicago Downtown Millennium Park for $77 the amenities include: FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower I'm not set on this hotel or a specific star level, so I would appreciate any advice I haven't checked Priceline, yet.
AaronJB Posted November 8, 2016 Report Posted November 8, 2016 4* Downtown-MP HOTWIRE $77 w/Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower >>> This amenity set would be a match for the Blackstone Renaissance so that would be my guess. On PRICELINE EXPRESS (please confirm that the correct date is showing on the detail page after clicking on the link.) 4.5* Magnificent Mile -Gold Coast for $73 Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities >>Possible match for the Gwen. Whereas I think the potential Blackstone Renaissance is too far South for your needs, this is a little bit further North than is optimal, but this is a very nice property for a great price and there's going to be more going on in this area at night. Also: 4.5* Chicago Loop - Grant Park for $82 Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet >>>Possible Hyatt Centric the Loop 3.5* Chicago Loop - Grant Park for $67 Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Free Breakfast No Smoking Rooms/Facilities >>>Guesses would be the possible Hyatt Place Loop or Residence Inn Loop. Either would be a positive result. 4* Downtown - River North for $63 Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities >>>A guess would be the Hotel Chicago. Great location on the river and near River North restaurants/nightlife. Another instance of a property where it would be relatively easy to get to the Loop, but there'd be more going on around the hotel at night. There's actually quite a lot of options around the $50-100 level. Are you looking for something in particular in terms of type/style of property? beldwell Posted November 8, 2016 Author Report Posted November 8, 2016 Thank you for all of the advice. I think I'm going to wait a bit and see if the Allegro, Burnham, or Monaco open up!
