More Hops Posted July 5, 2016 Report Posted July 5, 2016 NOTE: The hotel list has The Art listed as a 4.0 star hotel. I was bidding on 4.5 star only and unexpectedly received this hotel as my win. Thus hotel list needs to be updated. This period is during GABF so pricing is crazy. I ran the 5* up to $300 via free rebid zones and gave up. Last year I was able to get Four Seasons at a bargain during GABF. The PRICELINE EXPRESS option for same dates at 4.5 stars in downtown zone was $232 so bidding ended up being very close to this price to win. All zones EXCEPT Cherry Creek are FRBZ Bid $130 for 4.5* in Downtown Added Aurora and bid $140 Added Aurora - Anschutz Medical and bid $150 Added Castle Rock and bid $160 Added Denver Airport (DEN) and bid $170 Added Denver Northeast - Brighton and bid $180 Added Denver South - Park Meadows and bid $190 Added Denver Southwest - Lakewood and bid $200 Added Denver Tech Center and bid $210 Added Evergreen and bid $215 Added Littleton and bid $220 Added Northglenn - Thornton and bid $225 Added Parker and bid $228; accepted Price on the 'net for this hotel was $291 so some savings
AaronJB Posted July 5, 2016 Report Posted July 5, 2016 Congrats on your success. While not what you expected, hopefully the hotel will still work well for your travel plans. Certainly looks like a very nice deal during a busy period for the #1 rated hotel in Denver on Tripadvisor. Thank you for sharing your win with the board and letting us know about the new star rating for this property so that we can update the site's Priceline Hotel List. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Enjoy your stay.
chris010767 Posted August 8, 2016 Report Posted August 8, 2016 This is a great hotel! I stayed there in December 2015, however the price you paid is close to their normal rate. I got a room for the night for $125.
