ironman Posted February 4, 2006 Report Share Posted February 4, 2006 Leaving from Houston (IAH). I need to be in Frankfurt (FRA), Germany by July 18. I could leave between July 14 and July 17. I would like to return around August 15 (+/- 3 days is fine). The costs through most sites right now is $2K. Does anyone know when fare sales may start for the summer? Any suggestions on how to get this flight cheaper? Thanks Link to comment

I've seen low fares pop up periodically for the summer, and quickly disappear. Air Canada just finished an international sale. I think most people expect high fares unless you are quite lucky and flexible. Link to comment

Continental has flights for $1,173Lufthansa (partners w/ United) appears to have non-stop flights for $1,491 One factor to consider is whether you have a frequent flyer account with any of the airlines (and which one you'd prefer to have ~10,500 miles earned for this trip) Link to comment
