Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Montreal (Montreal Downtown - Financial District) Chateau Versailles Hotel

I saw a 3.5* hotel in Montreal Downtown Financial District going for $80CAD/$59USD that included breakfast.  I had a feeling that it was the Chateau Versailles.

 

I started at $65CAD and bidded up by $1-2 each attempt and waited 2 hours when I ran out of re-bid zones.  I eventually won at $75CAD/$55USD and the hotel was indeed the Chateau Versailles.

 

I've stayed at Le Meridien (sister hotel) across the street a couple times, both before and after their renovations.  I see under reviews that the Chateau Versailles is currently undergoing some renovations.  I called the hotel to ask and I was told that Le Meridien is actually undergoing heavy 'demolition' renovation as they are completely redoing their lobby right now, but Chateau Versailles at this stage is just redecorating rooms (eg. painting, new furniture) and the work they're doing should not be disruptive.
