HiThere
I was wondering if anyone has ever come across a listing of inexpensive hotel cities. Often times I am travelling, and am uncertain if there is a better city to stop in during a road trip, but I have not been able to find anything. Link to comment
Romelle
THIS LIST is from Forbes. 15 most affordable cities in the US. If you are traveling to a certain area, MAPS and HOTELS.com up in the Tool Box is extremely useful for finding less expensive hotel rates. It will let you search up to a 50 mile radius, using specific dates. The date aspect is important since hotel rates vary a lot by date. Then you can work with the returned information, narrowing down by star level, rate and other things. Make your own list, custom tailored to your plans. Link to comment
thereuare
If you are traveling to a certain area, MAPS and HOTELS.com up in the Tool Box is extremely useful for finding less expensive hotel rates. To further expand on the above, you can enter the address of where you currently are located (or an address in the direction you're heading), search within a 25 or 50 mile radius, then use the price slider to limit hotels that are below $xx per nite (as well as exclude hotels that are too low of a star rating) and easily see your options within the given radius. :) It's an extremely powerful tool if you take a few minutes to get acquainted with it. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. jmuls
The Maps.hotels link is very interesting in deed. Are the prices listed rack rate or run by a discounter ? Link to comment
