Hi Everybody.

Planing a Christmas vacation with the family (2 adults, 3 kids, 2 rooms)

I did a research in Hotwire and it came back with the following result:

La Défense - Neuilly area hotel

5 stars
95% Amazing!
2 Rooms, 2 Adults, 1 Child
Wed, Dec 30, 2015 - Tue, Jan 05, 2016
Free Internet, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Wheelchair accessible

$113 per night, per room.

I wonder if it is the Sofitel La Defense.

Your searches should be the total number of rooms/adults/children... not per room.

I get different results when searching 2rooms/2adults/3children vs. 2rooms/2adults/1child.

Can you confirm that the former is what you need? (as the latter would only guarantee accommodations for 3 guests total)

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.

PS- and please follow-up your previous Priceline Paris thread with whatever you ended up doing for that trip. Thanks.

Yes you are right!
It sounds a little confusing.

There are 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 children and we need 2 rooms.

Thank You!!

IMPORTANT.

I will make sure I use the following links to place my bid.

2x

There are 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 children and we need 2 rooms.

When searching for these parameters do you see the same prices/offers... as i saw different prices/offers than what you had posted above when searching for 2rooms/2adults/3children.

Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board.

Today I performed exactly the same search as last night and this is what it came up with:

La Défense - Neuilly area hotel
5 stars 90% Favorite!
2 Rooms, 2 Adults, 3 Children
Wed, Dec 30 - Tue, Jan 05
Free Internet, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility

$134 per night

Perhaps is because I adjusted the search to 2 adults and three children.

The 4 stars remained about the same.

La Défense - Neuilly area hotel
4 stars 90% Favorite!
2 Rooms, 2 Adults, 3 Children
Wed, Dec 30 - Tue, Jan 05
Free Internet, Pet friendly, Restaurant(s), Business center

$67 per night

Do you have any idea on which hotels they might be?

Thanks!!!

For the 5* if you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com and view this offer in the EASY VIEW tab, do you see the following (HOTWIRE no longer shows the complete set of amenities before purchase):

Free Internet

Pet Friendly

Smoke Free

Fitness

Restaurant

Business

Hi-Speed Internet

Travel Accessible

Room Accessible

Bathroom Accessible

Handicapped Parking

... if so, best guess for this one would be the Sofitel Paris La Defense

Using the same method do you see this for the 4 star:

Free Internet

Pet Friendly

Restaurant

Business

Hi-Speed Internet

... unfortunately i don't have any insight into this one.

Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board.

Let us know what you decide or how we can be of further help.

Hi.

I did perform the search again for the 5* through the Bidding.Helper.com link and it came back with $134 with the following:

FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking.

The amenities you asked me for are:

Free Internet YES

Pet Friendly YES

Smoke Free YES

Fitness YES

Restaurant YES

Business YES

Hi-Speed Internet YES

Travel Accessible YES

Room Accessible YES

Bathroom Accessible YES

Handicapped Parking YES

So I think we may be talking about the 5* Sofitel Paris la Defense using Hot.wire.

Would you go with Price.line with a lower bid on the 5*?

The 4 star with exactly the same search is trickier because it comes back with 2 properties.

FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Internet access  $100

FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access  $67

We have 3 choices. The Renaissance, The Pullman and the Hilton.

The $67 property looks like it is a really really convenient choice which, in my opinion, is either the Renaissance or the Pullman.

I'll keep you posted.

Thanks!!!

If you bid on PRICELINE you have to be willing to stay potentially at any hotel at the star rating picked in the zone chosen.

As well, PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, and you need one room with triple occupancy, which can be tricky in Europe where rooms (and beds) are usually smaller than their US counterparts.

Please keep us updated with what you decide and let us know if you have additional questions.

UPDATE.

Good morning to you all.

Last night we decided to postpone our trip.

Unfortunately things have been rather unsettled and the news have been really sad.

We decided to wait a little bit on our travel to France to see how things develop over there.

If it is OK with the administrators, I will start a new thread when we are ready to book our rooms.

Thank You very much for your time and for your help.
