Hotwire Hotel: 3* Monterey - Carmel (Marina) Best Western Beach Dunes Inn

Booked late in the evening, around 8:30pm. Went to HOTWIRE and saw 3* in Marina for $80... turned out to be "Best Western Beach Dunes Inn".

I wouldn't call it a 3* at all. more like a 2* or 2.5* motel.

Room walls thin, could hear neighbors, bath tub dirty and old.

Breakfast was standard.

The general manager was really nice and she was genuinely interested in making sure our stay was nice. She personally came into our room to check the tub and saw the dirty shoe prints but couldn't really do anything with the blue mark on the tub bottom that she said was a result of excessive scrubbing.

For $80, I would stay again, but wouldn't pay more than this.
