sedicivalvole Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 :) Hi Folkes,I need some help. I'm looking for a Mid East side Manhatten hotel 4*and looking to bid around $120 a night however when I get to the section on Priceline where you enter the credit card it does not allow me to select UK, ... only a US state and Zip code. Does that mean that I have to be a US citizen, or is there some way around this so I can enter my UK postcode? Any help will be welcome. Thanks in advance. :) RegardsLee

pirate Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 Good Morning Sedicivalvole,I am a UK member who has been using Priceline US for several years without any problem, in fact I use Priceline UK concurrently to bid in UK. Both sites recognise me as a registered user and I use the same credit card on both without problems.I find that using the following address format works: Address: 123 A STREETCity: A TOWN UK Don't put a comma between your town name and UKState: UTAHZip Code: 99999Telephone: 4412345678 Phone number must be 10 digits, 44 is uk code, leave out the first 0 in area code to dial from abroad anyway, drop the last two numbers. They never phone you anyway!Use the same format for the billing address section of your credit card details. Visa card is usually the best bet, followed by Mastercard and Amex in that order.I have used broadly this format when buying all sorts of products and services from American web sites, which often simply refuse to co-operate unless one has a zip code and US style phone number. Never had a problem. The 99999 zip code was given to me by a US telesales operative many years ago, who told me that they were trained to enter that when selling to overseas clients in order to get around the computer program, which wouldn't allow them to process an order until the proper client contact details had been entered into the company database. It has always worked a charm! Pirate :)
