The highest star rating offered in Atlantic City is 3*... and the Sheraton, which is off the boardwalk, is a 3* hotel in the zone. In other words, not sure if Priceline is going to be your best option in this instance if you want to ensure something centrally located.

Borgata $329 vs. Caesars $109

I heard that Borgata is so much nicer, but way out of my budget, too

Anyone knows about promo codes or anything like that?

Or, should I look into other hotels?

It's my first time to AC, so little lost.

If you are a gambler and 'rated' (have a players club card at any other casinos, especially Las Vegas casinos) you can call and ask for a casino rate. If you really do gamble (5+ hours per day $10-$25 minimum hand or play slots for 4+ hours a day) you can also call the hotels and ask to speak to a casino host. Tell them your level of play (be honest, don't lie about it) and that you'd like to come down to see their property on 12/24 and what kind or rate they can offer you.

Other than that, if the Caesar's rate is cancellable i would book that now and keep that as a back-up as it has a good 'center boardwalk' location.

If you're just looking to save money you can book the HOLIDAY INN Boardwalk for $86/nite, but imo Caesars is worth the extra $25. There are jitneys which are not that comfortable or fast, but will get you to the area around the Borgota for maybe $2 or so (there may be other options too, such as Showboat to Trump Castle for free since (i believe) both are owned by Trump)

what appears to be the Holiday Inn is available on Hotwire for $94, this is shown as a 3* with the following amenities: Oceanfront, Near Beach, Restaurant, Pool, Tennis, Business Center. The Holiday Inn website has this property for $86, so if you are successful with a double the difference claim, your rate will be reduced by $24. What appears to be the Sheraton is also available for $94, this is a 3.5* customer favorite. The Sheraton is adjacent to the convention center at 2 Miss America Way (will they rename this street now that the Pagent is going to Las Vegas?) and the Holiday Inn is Oceanfront, right on the Boardwalk. Don't forget to stop at the White House for one of the best Hoagies/Subs. :)

Looking for reviews on AC Hilton.

For Jan 2nd, I have Borgata at $110 vs. AC Hilton at $65.

I heard that Borgata is the newest, but wondering how Hilton is just for one night.

It kind of depends on what you are looking for in your stay....The Borgata is a beautiful property, brand new but it is in the "inlet" part of Atlantic City. The Hilton is at the far south end of the "boardwalk" properties and it is a little easier if you want to hop from casino to casino. But since your stay is only one night, and at $110, the Borgata looks like a steal.....then again, you can use the $45 in savings at the AC Hilton to increase your gambling purse....
