AaronJB Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 Please provide a follow-up for your prior NYC Hotwire thread (post what you decided for that stay within that thread, then reply to this thread and we would be happy to take a look at the above post.) Also, please provide the zone name for the above listing. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
Blinkysmom Posted February 12, 2015 Author Report Posted February 12, 2015 Updated the other thread. The district for this threads hotel is the Theatre District.
thereuare Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 Please remember to follow-up your threads with your results/decisions as you receive them so that the information can best help others in a timely manner... and is a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans. HOTWIRE guarantees 'sleeping accommodations' for everyone you include in your group, and while this usually means two beds in the room, it can (especially in large cities, such as NYC, where space is at a premium), the second 'bed' could be a pullout sofabed, a rollaway brought into the room, etc. For the offer above, I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? Using this method, below is the full list of amenities i'm seeing for the 4 star hotel in this zone when searching for your dates: Free Internet Pet Friendly Fitness Restaurant Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ... if this is what you're seeing, the Crowne Plaza Hotel Manhattan would be my best guess for this one. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Blinkysmom Posted March 15, 2015 Author Report Posted March 15, 2015 We had to change the dates of our trip and our now going June 17-23. I'm seeing: Hotwire: 4.5* Times Square/Theater District: $211/night. 100% recommended.FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Roll-in shower and Hotwire: 4* Times Square/Theater District $230/night. 80% recommended.FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower Any ideas? Also, because of changing the dates we now have a 4th person (a second 12 year old) going with us. Any better chance of having a second "actual" bed? Thank you!
AaronJB Posted March 15, 2015 Report Posted March 15, 2015 The 4.5* would be a possible match for the Novotel and the 4* would be a possible match for the Millennium Broadway or the Crowne Plaza Manhattan, although I'd lean towards the latter. AaronJB Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 Likely the Row. Please keep us updated on what you decide and let us know if you have additional questions. Blinkysmom Posted March 19, 2015 Author Report Posted March 19, 2015 On this same one, I keep seeing the last person who booked just got the Belvedere or the last person who booked just got the Row. It also keeps switching between 75% rating and 85% rating. Is one more likely to be the Row?
AaronJB Posted March 19, 2015 Report Posted March 19, 2015 The "last person got" info is not the underlying hotel but the last hotel that someone got at that star rating in that zone. It's not unusual for customer %'s to vary from search-to-search. For this particular amenity set, my guess would remain The Row. Blinkysmom Posted November 30, 2016 Author Report Posted November 30, 2016 Booked the RowNYC through the HOTWIRE link on this page. It was the hotel as we thought. June 17-23, 2015. $223/night. It was an excellent stay. We called the hotel to let them know it was my son's and his friend's first trip to NYC and they made it extra special with a wonderful welcome gift basket.
thereuare Posted November 30, 2016 Report Posted November 30, 2016 Thank you for closing this thread with your decision. Glad to see you received the hotel you were hoping for and had a great trip.
