Thank you. This was my guess as well. I plan on doing some things in the theatre district and over several areas of NYC. Do you know if this hotel is conveniently located? It seems like a great price, but don't want to waste lots of money on cabs to get places.

I think this is convenient spot in MTE, which is a very nice area. I'll also note that the lowest refundable rate on the website is a $302 - so certainly a very nice discount for a busy time of year in NYC. (the "other sites" price is not the price for the particular hotel on other sites, but an average of comparable hotels nearby for these dates. Still, if this is the W - and I believe it is likely the W - a pretty substantial discount.)

This hotel is well located near the 6 train (to head downtown) and also near a stop for the E and M train which will be convenient for getting to the West side and/or locations midtown. The one complain about this hotel is that the rooms are on the small side.

More importantly, i think this is an EXCELLENT price for this time of year and unless budget is not a concern, i would take it (or try to do better on PRICELINE)... but i wouldn't sit and do nothing as i think odds favor much higher prices if you wait.

Thank you. You are right. The price is beginning to go up. It's at $148/night. Also, looking into some priceline express deals before booking (hopefully within the next couple of days). I'll post inquiry in the priceline forum.

Trying to compare priceline with hotwire. I'm looking into a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal on priceline for a 4* Midtown West Hotel. Cost is $173/night. Only amenities listed are: Restaurant, Business Center. Does the midtown west area have good access to subways? Is there any way at all to guess what hotel this is with not all amenities listed? Dates for the trip are 5/24/13 through 5/30/13 (includes Memorial Day). I used the hotwire an PRICELINE links on this page to inquire.

Please keep all posts regarding this stay within this thread.

There have been very few Express Deals reported to the board (as it's still a fairly new feature) and with only a couple of very common amenities, it's unfortunately difficult to begin to narrow down what this listing may be.

Any idea about these 3 hotels? We plan on mainly doing broadway shows while in NYC, but then just want to walk places to sight see. No real plans.

I used the HOTWIRE link on this page to find these deals.

Not seeing a 3* with no amenities in the Midtown Central area when searching for these dates - if you are still seeing this listing, how many people are you searching for? I'm seeing a different 3* listing than the other 3*, as well, in this zone.

The 4* TS would be a possible match for the Crowne Plaza, Millennium Broadway or Hilton TS, although I'd lean towards one of the former two would be more likely than the Hilton and the Millennium Broadway would be the most likely of the three.
