cowboy hat girl
Need to find a hotel near LaGuardia (early morning flight out). What area do I bid in? Link to comment
WillTravel
Enter New York City as your city. You will get a list of all the zones in NYC, but these aren't what you want.Scroll further down the page and you will see New York Airports.Click on that, and it provides you two separate zones - JFK and LGA. cowboy hat girl
Thanks willtravel, I didn't scroll down past the first map. Any recommendations on what to bid for 3*? Link to comment
thereuare
You could also use Airport Codes in lieu of the city name. So in this instance, putting LGA directly into the Hotel Name space would bring you to the New York Airport options. Please supply the dates of your stay for a recommended starting bid. thereuare
How much are you anticipating spending?Relatively speaking, this is not an inexpensive area and it may pay to consider a 2.5* property. What is your limit for a 3 star hotel? cowboy hat girl
I am going to Shea for the Springsteen concert that night, and have an early flight in the morning. I bid $67 this morning for the 3* and was rejected. Would be willing to go 2.5* too.I noticed that prices on Hotels.com started at $115 for the Wyndham Garden which I think is a 2.5*, and works for me. Just need to know what to bid. Link to comment
thereuare
Yes, i doubt that would be successful for a 3* in this area.I would start 2.5* bidding at $60.Let us know how it goes. :)PS- looks like you've got a Meeting Across the River (currently my favorite Spruce song) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
cowboy hat girl
Just found out a friend bid $60 and was countered with $77 which she took and got the Wyndham Garden. I know there is a trick to countering somewhere on here. I'd appreciate any help.BTW, I'll be bidding thru SavingsBarn.com :) Link to comment
thereuare
If that was the counter, i would try $65 with the knowledge that you may have to try again in 72 hours (assuming that's ok with you). cowboy hat girl
$65 wasn't accepted, they countered with adding $17. Tried to put in $70 and it wouldn't take. Will try Friday. :) Link to comment
thereuare
I'd raise your bid by $2-3 after each waiting period, but try to hit $70 if you're rejected after the next waiting period. Thanks for the update.
