Hannie Posted January 12, 2015 Report Posted January 12, 2015 Hi, I am looking for 12-15 aug, 2 adults and 1 child. Today I saw this: 3* Del Mar-Rancho Santa Fe $71. 75% recommended Amenities at BiddingHelper.com: FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Free Internet, Resort, Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Children's activities, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking I have no clue, I hope you have?
thereuare Posted January 12, 2015 Report Posted January 12, 2015 Morgan Run Resort and Club would be my best guess for this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Hannie Posted January 12, 2015 Author Report Posted January 12, 2015 When I look up this hotel in the Hotwire hotellist it also says suite and kitchenette. These amenities are not on bidding helper . Can it still be Morgan run resort you think? Edit: When I look at the hotelwebsite, they do not offer kitchenettes. On booking.com it is already sold out on my dates!
thereuare Posted January 12, 2015 Report Posted January 12, 2015 Hotels don't need to show all the amenities they have... but do need to have all the amenities they show. As well, amenity combinations shown for hotels are subject to change (or maybe the previous time this property was won it showed some amenities in error and they have been removed). If you use our BiddingHelper.com and look in the 'Hotels By Name' tab you'll see this property is currently offered/available from Hotels.com I will stick with my guess of the Morgan Run Resort. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Hannie Posted January 19, 2015 Author Report Posted January 19, 2015 I do not decideat this moment. we still have time.
AaronJB Posted January 19, 2015 Report Posted January 19, 2015 Thank you for keeping us updated on what you ultimately decide and let us know if you have any questions. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Hannie Posted February 21, 2015 Author Report Posted February 21, 2015 Stll looking for same dates. Now I see a 3* for $79 in a zone that is not mentioned in the hotellist: El Cajon - Santee - Alpine area. 90% recommended. Looked at bidding helper: FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Free breakfast, Free Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Fitness center, Pool(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Tennis nearby, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking Would be pleased if you could help identify this hotel. Thanks!
thereuare Posted February 21, 2015 Report Posted February 21, 2015 The Ayres Lodge Alpine would be my best guess for this one.
Hannie Posted March 29, 2015 Author Report Posted March 29, 2015 The Ayres lodge is not suitable for us (no extra bed possible) I am still looking for august 12-15, 2 adults and 1 child. Can you help identify the hotels below? 2 1/2* Mission valley hotel circle 85% recommended $94Amenities by biddinggelper: FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Pool(s), Self-service laundry 3* Mira Mesa 95% recommended $123FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Free breakfast, Free Internet, Fitness center, Pool(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower 4 !/2* Gaslamp/Conventioncenter 100% recommended $150FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower Could this be the Manchester Grand Hyatt?Only downside on more exclusive hotels is that they do not offer free breakfast and parking. Hotels are still pretty expensive I think. Also because the exchange rate euro/dollar is bad.
thereuare Posted March 29, 2015 Report Posted March 29, 2015 I do not decideat this moment. we still have time.Hotels are still pretty expensive I think. Are the hotels currently within your budget and what you're willing to pay at this point in time? Are you currently willing to pay ~$100/nite for a 2.5* property... or $150 for a 4.5* property (that doesn't include parking or breakfast if these are important to you)? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Hannie Posted March 29, 2015 Author Report Posted March 29, 2015 I think it is inevitable to pay an amount between $100-$150. Or do you think it will be cheaper when we wait longer? It depends which hotel it is if I will really book it.
AaronJB Posted March 29, 2015 Report Posted March 29, 2015 Not necessarily. Prices can quickly go either way. There's been less in the way of "last minute" price declines as demand has ramped up in recent years. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
thereuare Posted March 30, 2015 Report Posted March 30, 2015 Best guess/comments for each: 2 1/2* Mission valley hotel circle 85% recommended $94 --> no guess 3* Mira Mesa 95% recommended $123 --> Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites San Diego - Sorrento Valley 4 !/2* Gaslamp/Conventioncenter 100% recommended $150 --> Manchester Grand Hyatt Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know which you decide and how it goes. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Hannie Posted April 2, 2015 Author Report Posted April 2, 2015 I have booked a hotel with airmiles instead of using Hotwire.
