jg-detroit2 Posted December 26, 2014 Report Posted December 26, 2014 Hello All,Long time site visitor but first post here. Just wanted everyone to know that I believe an earlier post this morning was incorrect since the names of the hotels are very similar. I booked this hotel and matched the amenities and rate to a post that stated they had won the Westin Diplomat in Hollywood Beach. When I booked, I received the Westin Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale. Still a fine property at a great rate, but just be careful to watch your search zones. I moved fast to book and didn't notice the difference in zones. I was a little surprised since we wanted Hollywood but am still excited at the deal and, hopefully, sunny and warm in February when home (Michigan) isn't! Here are the details: 90% RecommendedAmenities: Resort, Pet friendly, Near beach, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service, laundry, Internet access, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Children's activities, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travelIn-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
AaronJB Posted December 27, 2014 Report Posted December 27, 2014 Congrats on your success and Welcome to Betterbidding. :) Glad you are satisfied with the win and are looking forward to your stay. Can you confirm the zone of the win under the trip information in your Hot.wire account? The Westin Beach resort falls under the Beach zone on the Hot.wire map. Also, can you confirm the price per night before taxes/fees so that we can update the site's Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins?Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches. Enjoy your stay.

jg-detroit2 Posted February 7, 2015 Author Report Posted February 7, 2015 Hello, Sorry for the delay in posting this. The win was for $104 per night and the zone is indeed 'Beach'. Happy Bidding!-JG
jg-detroit2 Posted February 7, 2015 Author Report Posted February 7, 2015 Does anyone know if resort fees are disclosed when you bid on a hotel? I have an upcoming trip to the Westin Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale and some online reviewers (non-hotwire bookings I presume) have mentioned a resort fee. If there are indeed resort fees would our Hotwire booking trip details disclose that? Thanks!-JG
thereuare Posted February 7, 2015 Report Posted February 7, 2015 HOTWIRE usually disclosed the resort fee during the booking process (in the 'Know Before You Go' section, as well as on the final page where they show the room rate per nite, fees/taxes, etc.) I believe the Westin charges a resort fee of ~$25/day. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
