I'm not certain, but the Arena Hotel with the addition of a 'Boutique' amenity would be my best guess for this one.

Ah, you're probably right.  Won't be taking up this offer as it's not an acceptable property in my book and the price isn't a significant enough of a discount off of retail.

 

Retail rates are really high right now with a lot of sellouts.

 

The 4* San Jose south (Dolce Hayes?) is a possibility but is not as ideally located.

Hi thereuare.  I have existing reservations for this stay for ~$300 in downtown San Jose.  This is a low availability period.

 

Right now I'd like to get:

• a good price for
• acceptably comfortable accommodations
• in downtown.

It's looking like I can only get 2 of the 3 things, so I just have to figure out which I want to compromise on.

 

BTW, the initial search was done via Bidding.Helper.com as always.

I'm seeing a 3* in San Jose South for $146 w/Pool, Fitness, Complimentary Breakfast, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Free Parking, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower. This listing hasn't been ID'd/reported to the board, but the Holiday Inn Express San Jose Central City with a slightly different amenity set may be a possibility.

We have also done a 'soft launch' of a new site BackUpBooking.com which only shows refundable reservations... not sure if/how this works for your plans, but i see the Hotel De Anza (double check the dates on the landing page) offered for your dates for $266/nite, which would be a little savings over your Marriott reservation.

Also, you can sign up with RateDrop to get an alert any time the hotels of your choosing drop in price, or when any HOTWIRE or PRICELINE EXPRESS offers drop in price, for these specific dates.
