spring01719
Hi, I'm looking for 3.5*/4* hotel for above date and my budget about $150-250 per night. I prefer at midtown west and madison square garden area. So is any chance to bidding a hotel under $200 or just get PRICELINE EXPRESS will better? Thanks. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! Sorry for the delay in replying... Your budget is a fairly wide range and i don't think you can get a 4* hotel for $250 or less, but a few questions in order to move forward... Are you willing to pay more for a 4* hotel vs. a 3.5* property OR is the goal the least expensive 3.5* or better for this stay? Let us know the above and we will suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. spring01719
Thanks for replying. I think we can change our budget and hotel as below: 10/29 - 11/1 around $200 for 3* hotel 11/2 - 11/6 $300 for 3.5* or 4* hotel Link to comment
thereuare
Please use separate threads for each leg of your stay so that each can have it's own link in the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins and Priceline Maps. We will use this thread for your first stay of 10/29-11/1... feel free to start a NEW TOPIC for the backend of your trip. For 10/29-11/1, are you still only interested in bidding the MTW and MSG zones? (if so, an if i may ask, why these two zones? these two are certainly usually considered convenient, but there are plenty of other zones (some of which are adjacent to each of these zones) which are also generally considered to be good and/or well located and convenient... TS, ESB, Cheslea, etc.) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. spring01719
We can bidding other zones if it is convenient for going to the Penn station at 11/1. And we hope room will not too small. Link to comment
thereuare
We can bidding other zones if it is convenient for going to the Penn station at 11/1. How much luggage will you have? Are you looking to walk to Penn Station or would subway, bus, or taxi be a suitable option? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. thereuare
We have two luggage. Walk or take bus, subway all OK.What about taxi? (from most locations in midtown it won't be more than $10-$15 ... and to confirm, the goal for this leg of your trip is the least expensive 3* or better? spring01719
We don't consider taxi now and if walking to bus or subway station in 10 minutes should be fine to us. I think we could rise our budget to $250 and find a better hotel(maybe 3.5* or 4*). Because I already got a great hotel deal for the backend of my trip. Link to comment
thereuare
Currently, you should be able to get both a 3.5* or 4* hotel in MTW within your budget (we will also include MSG in a bidding strategy too just to give you extra bidding opportunities since that zone is also acceptable)... although both will be within your budget, the 4* will be a little more expensive than the 3.5*; do you prefer to pay a little more for the higher rated hotel OR is your goal the least expensive 3.5* for this leg of your trip? Also, if MTW is close enough to Penn Station for your needs, then the Chelsea zone is likely close enough too, let us know if we should also include this zone in your bidding as well. Please confirm and we will advise accordingly. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. spring01719
We could pay a little more for the higher rated hotel in MTW, MSG and Chelsea. Thanks. Link to comment
thereuare
When bidding 4* in NYC you have TWO re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. Select 4* MTW... Bid $200, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $205, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $210, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 4* MSG...
