thereuare
Please start by closing your previous Priceline NYC thread as to whether you booked direct, canceled the trip, etc. For the PRICELINE EXPRESS property above, my guess for this one would be the Element by Westin Ewing Princeton. (but with a 9.0+ user review i wouldn't be concerned with quality with this one). Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Mhenrique
wow. element ewing is definitely not a good choice. west area is too wide to bid. I think I will focus on east. i'm looking for hotels near princeton university. thank you! Link to comment

thereuare
I'm somewhat familiar with this area... Not sure of your budget but HOTWIRE has a 3.5* hotel in their Princeton-Lawrenceville zone for $97 with: Free Parking Free Internet Indoor Pool Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Golf Tennis ... this property also has an excellent 4.5/5.0 TA rating and my best guess would be the Crowne Plaza and would be close to Princeton University. Does this HOTWIRE offer work for your needs/budget? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Mhenrique
good to know! maybe this is an alternative. PRICELINE name your own price (bidding), is it worth a shot? 3.5* east zone includes crowne plaza, doubletree and marriot forrestal... and 4 rebid zones to try. Link to comment
AaronJB
PRICELINE EXPRESS / HOTWIRE - slightly-to-moderately more expensive then bidding. You can make an educated guess as to which hotels are showing so you can potentially get something you're more interested in. PRICELINE bidding: cheaper, but you have to be willing to accept any hotel in the zone chosen at the star rating chosen. The lists on Betterbidding for PRICELINE and HOTWIRE hotels are hotels that have been reported to the board, but changes can happen at any time. Mhenrique
hey thereuare Hot.wire has a 3.5* hotel in Princeton-Lawrenceville for $61 with Free Parking, Indoor pool(s), Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Self service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower. 4.0/5.0 TA rating. Any guesses? PS. dates changed: 08/23-09/04. Link to comment
thereuare
The Doubletree Hotel Princeton would be my best guess for this one... although i'll add a very slight chance of the Marriott as an outside possibility. Since this an extended stay you could see if this same property is offered for the first (or last) nite of your stay and then again for the balance. If so, you could purchase the solo nite in order to 'look behind the curtain'. If you're happy with the results purchase the remaining nites, if not, make alternate plans for the balance of your stay. Mhenrique
good idea, but no luck. the same property is not offered for first or last night. :( maybe i should book a nite before my arrival to 'look behind the curtain'... and let it go. i will think about it.both of them (DoubleTree and Marriott [Forrestal?]) fill my requirements. thereuare
I do feel 'pretty good' with my guess of the Doubletree... i only suggested the split since it's such a long stay, if you wanted increased confidence. thereuare
When bidding 4* in this region you have SEVEN re-bid zones... FOUR re-bid zones at the 3.5* level. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. I would suggest bidding as follows: Select 4* Princeton East... Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $68, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $73, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $78, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $80, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE Select 3.5* Princeton East... Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $68, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $70 Any questions feel free to ask.
