Priceline Hotel: Help with Name your own price bid

Trip Aug. 1-3. Seeking 4 star hotel (downtown, FQ, con. Center)

Weekend of Satchmo Fest.... Trying to see if I can get better rate there before using Express Deal or retail option.

The star level is important to me. If I could get a 3 1/2 star for 60 bucks I would take it though.... But since a festival is

That weekend I doubt it.

I have posted here before but never had a successful bid.....

Please suggest a bidding strategy that I can use to give it my best try before I book a room at 135 or 150 a night....

Please follow-up your previous Priceline New Orleans thread with whatever you did for that stay (even if you didn't use PRICELINE or HOTWIRE, canceled the trip, booked direct, etc)... then reply here and we will have a look at your post above.
