casperslc
Hello. I am looking for a 3 star BWI hotel for 65-75 dollars or a 3.5 up for 80-90 dollars on July 4 for one night. Any suggestions? Thanks! Link to comment
thereuare
Both star ratings may be possible within the budget you have set for each... which of those would be your preference, the more expensive but higher rated hotel OR the cheaper but lower rated property? Let us know and we'll advise accordingly. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. PS- please following-up your previous Boston Priceline thread with whatever you ended up doing for that of your trip. Thanks. casperslc
I am open to anything except the Holliday Inn...unless it is at the lowest cost. If you think that is the property that will accept my lower bid than I would want to go higher for a 3.5 star. The other 3 star properties are good. Thank you. Link to comment
thereuare
I am open to anything except the Holliday Inn...unless it is at the lowest cost. If you think that is the property that will accept my lower bid than I would want to go higher for a 3.5 star. The above seems contradictory to me and i'm not sure if you want the Holiday Inn if it is the least expensive OR if you may get the Holiday Inn you would prefer to pay more for a 3.5* hotel. I think you can get the Holiday Inn for $57/nite or less... alternately a 3.5* will run you $90 or less. Below is a strategy which tries for a 3.5* for under $90... if you prefer a 3* for $57 (including the possible/likely Holiday Inn) let us know and we will advise accordingly. If you try the bidding below and it is rejected, post back and we'll advise for a 3.5* hotel at this price. When bidding 3.5* in the Baltimore region you have SEVEN re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. Select 3.5* BWI Airport... Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $73, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $78, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $83, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $85 Any questions feel free to ask. casperslc
I decided to start with a 3 star at $50. I got the Courtyard Marriott. Quite happy with this. Thank you. Link to comment
casperslc
So, Priceline accepted my offer and sent me a confirmation e-mail. It then sent me an e-mail saying that they couldn't accept my recent offer and gave tips. I looked at my Priceline trips and the trip shows as booked. Do you know why they would send a confirmation and then a denial but still show the trip? Link to comment
yellowdog
Thank you for sharing your result with the board. The email you got is related to the bids under your winning bid amount. If you feel unsure phone/mail the hotel for a confirmation. Did you win the hotel at $50? Enjoy your stay. Please use the board's PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your purchases and searches Yellowdog. Link to comment
