Tburr Posted November 20, 2005 Report Posted November 20, 2005 After reading the posts here I submitted my bid for $54.00 (total for s night was just under $200.00) You cannot beat that price.I stayed at this hotel in October. It is well located. Rooms are abit small, but not so for London. I must have been in one of the refurbished rooms, it was very nice. They did upgrade me to an executive room after the second night due to some problems. The corridors are VERY long, be prepared to walk! LOLI checked the hotel website and the least expensive room I could find was US$118.00 per night (not sure about vat), so at about $66.00 per night (vat/tax included) I would say Priceline did a greate job!A question: Upon check in you can upgrade your room for 20 or 35 Pounds. Is thiis paid upgrade available for romms purchased through Priceline? Thanks
WillTravel Posted November 20, 2005 Report Posted November 20, 2005 From what I've read, the upgrade is available for Priceline purchasers. You'll just be charged the amount of the upgrade on your own credit card. Most people who've gotten this hotel seem to report that the clerk tries to upsell an upgrade, so I imagine they try if there are such rooms available.
Tburr Posted November 20, 2005 Author Report Posted November 20, 2005 THank you for the information. When I was last there and they upgraded me for a problem, I thought it would be worth the extra $30.00 per night for the far bigger and nicer room. Since this Thsitle is going for such a low bid, I am presuming that they are empty in January, 2006, so would welcome the money for an upgrade.
