When is the best time to begin bidding. I have been using the recent posted winning bids as a baseline but not having any luck. I am traveling 6/18 to 6/22.

Please provide a follow-up for your prior Tampa Hotwire thread (post what you decided for that stay within that thread, then reply to this thread.) Additionally, for this stay, what have you bid up to?

I never did win a hotel on priceline or hotwire for tampa. The wedding party had better rates then what I was finding. I am up to 60 usd on my PRICELINE bid.

Using our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com, the least expensive 3.5* hotel i'm seeing offered in this zone for your dates is $145/nite, which makes your current bids less than half of prevailing rates which does not give you a high probability of success.

Is this the only acceptable zone for you for this trip OR are you bidding here thinking it will be less expensive than other nearby zones? Also, rates generally look higher than usual for these dates, do you know of some event that is taking place in the area? (or big rivalry baseball game, etc??)
