jonesa11 Posted February 6, 2013 Report Posted February 6, 2013 Hello, I going to Tampa on 3/22 to 3/35 for a wedding. The hosting hotel is the intercontinental. I would like to stay somewhere more budget friendly, after all i wont spend much time in the hotel. I have been declined at 70 dollars for a 3.5 star. What should I expect to spend? I picked West shore area to get me closest to the Intercontinental.
thereuare Posted February 6, 2013 Report Posted February 6, 2013 At current rates I think a 3.5* or higher will likely cost you closer to $100+... what is the wedding rate (if there is one) at the InterContinental? What appears to be the La Quinta is on HOTWIRE for $53/nite... would this work for your needs? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. jonesa11 Posted February 6, 2013 Author Report Posted February 6, 2013 The wedding rate is 115 per nite. What rating is the la quinta?
Romelle Posted February 6, 2013 Report Posted February 6, 2013 HOTWIRE has it as a 2* (as does the retail side of PRICELINE). I haven't stayed in that particular one, but have been happy with ones in other areas. Wonderfully warm swimming pools.Free breakfast, internet, shuttle and parking all could help the budget too.Romelle
jonesa11 Posted February 6, 2013 Author Report Posted February 6, 2013 HOTWIRE has a three star listings for 87 usd. Do you know what property it could be?

Romelle Posted February 7, 2013 Report Posted February 7, 2013 Don't be alarmed if the Hotwire offers go away for a few days. They can sort of "blink on and off". On the other hand, if you see something that would work for you, don't hesitate too long. They don't always come back.Additionally, when I was watching one for quite a long time, there was a slight pattern of going up a dollar or two on weekends and then easing back down during the week. bmw745ion19s Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 HOTWIRE is currently showing a 4* in westshore zone for $104 for your dates. Id try rebidding using 3.5* up to $91 a night. I think theres a very good shot you might even get the intercontinental or be just down the street. several of the 3.5* hotels in teh area are also pretty nice.

jonesa11 Posted March 9, 2013 Author Report Posted March 9, 2013 It would be appreciated if you used the requested links to begin all your future bidding, searches, and travel purchases. Thanks you.No problem. Does it work properly on mobile phones browsing?
thereuare Posted March 9, 2013 Report Posted March 9, 2013 Does it work properly on mobile phones browsing?Yes... if you have a problem with any of the board's search boxes or links send us a PM with "links not working" along with any information that may help us troubleshoot (device used, version, browser, specific location of the link you're trying to use, etc, etc)There is one known issue with the search HOTWIRE box on the top left of the page in the most recent iOS Safari browser (we're currently working on a fix), but the logo in that search box and our 'regular' HOTWIRE links should all work correctly... the PRICELINE search box works fine. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
jonesa11 Posted March 12, 2013 Author Report Posted March 12, 2013 I'm confused, I had two different post in two different forums. one was related to 3.5* PRICELINE and the other was for 3* hotwire. They were placed in the appropiate forum rooms. Why were they combined? Now my 3* HOTWIRE question hasn't been answered.
thereuare Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 We keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread so that when we're assisting with your PRICELINE request we can see what has already been considered on HOTWIRE and when assisting with your HOTWIRE request we can see what has already been tried on PRICELINE. As well, if two separate threads are used, usually only the thread that was used for the 'win' gets updated... leaving the other thread 'orphaned' with no update and future readers of that thread are left wondering if a hotel was booked but not followed-up, user booked direct, the trip was canceled, etc. We have found that this format helps keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone. It would still be appreciated if you used, and clicked before replying, the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. jonesa11 Posted March 13, 2013 Author Report Posted March 13, 2013 Understood. Can you give me some insite in this New 3* HOTWIRE. It has breakfast as an amenity now.
thereuare Posted March 13, 2013 Report Posted March 13, 2013 For help with the 3* HOTWIRE property please include the full list of amenities associated with it.If the amenity set has changed please provide the full details (star rating, zone, amenities, room rate per nite, etc) so that we know what it is that you're currently being offered. It would still be appreciated if you used, and clicked before replying, the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board.2x Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
jonesa11 Posted June 11, 2014 Author Report Posted June 11, 2014 I was requested that I reply but I didn't ever win. I ended up using the wedding rate at the intercontental hotel that hosted the wedding.
