I'm going to London with my wife for the first time on Dec 4 - 7 and I need to book the hotel.

I want to stay in a nice hotel in a nice area of London and could use some help on bidding. We are willing to go up to maybe $100-120 a night. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

This is also our first time using Hotwire or Priceline.

Thanks

Hi Everyone,

I'm heading to London with my wife on 12/4-12/7. This is our first trip to London =>..

I'm new to priceline, but I heard it is really useful. We are looking to spend $100-120 for a nice hotel in a nice area. Any suggestions or helpful hints?

Thanks,

Jason

With your budget and stated wishes, I'd suggest you bid for a 4* in the Mayfair-Soho zone. If you want to try for a cheaper place, but still 4*, you could consider the Bloomsbury and Kensington zones. But Mayfair-Soho is likely the most convenient, central area.

I'd start by bidding $85 in Mayfair-Soho for your dates. If you get a counteroffer, you can increase your bid somewhat 72 hours later (since there aren't any rebid zones for 4* hotels in London). I wouldn't suggest taking the counteroffer.

If you would like to try other zones besides Mayfair-Soho, post back and we can work out a strategy.
