turbojet Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 I'm looking at booking a few rooms on the strip for Jan 26-29. I'm looking at spending about $150-$175 per night. What's the best deal out there? Should I use Hotwire, Priceline, Expedia?Any help would be much appreciated.
dave Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 As bbbb recommended in another thread, you could book a cancellable backup first and then bid slowly / monitor the rates on Hotwire.Regarding your dates, are you open to the possibility of splitting your stay as Fri & Sat nights are normally more expensive than your other night (Jan 26) which is a Thursday? This could also result in a change of hotels.
turbojet Posted October 29, 2005 Author Report Posted October 29, 2005 We're probably going to book something cancellable as a backup while bidding on priceline and monitoring hotwire. Given that I need to book 4 rooms, and that the people in my party will be in various states of sobriety at any stage, I suspect switcing hotels would be somewhat difficult.I had another question. If I book the rooms for 1 guest, instead of 4, the prices are cheaper. If I plan to have 4 to a room, can I still book it as 1 guest? Is the hotel going to even know we'll have 4 people in there? Thanks
dave Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 If you are looking at booking a cancellable backup directly with the hotels, please consider booking through betterbidding's links to help keep this board going. The problem with booking for 1 or 2 guests is that double beds cannot be guaranteed.
turbojet Posted October 29, 2005 Author Report Posted October 29, 2005 If you book 4 guests, are double beds guaranteed? I was under the impression that even if you booked for 4 guests, the number of beds wasn't guaranteed.
