wannabee Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 Hi every1,I am such a newbie at hotel reservations.... coz i m banging my head against the wall after seeing this site... I just finished reserving a hotel in san fran for 770$ for 4 ppl for 4 nites... and didnt even bid on it.....May be i wont lose money in vegas... i want either the bellagio or Venetian the budget is about 700$ +or - 100 doesnt matter for 3 nites(27th-30th dec) for 4 ppl. But if i can really find a deal i would be glad... please help... if i missed out any important info pls tell me.... I m new to this and also i want to say y'all have done a great job helping ppl like me :)
wannabee Posted October 26, 2005 Author Report Posted October 26, 2005 Ok so today i tried mission impossible...after all the re bids n re bids... for venetian i still didnt get iti tried 99, 130, 150, even 160... no luck....i m sad :)also one more questionwhen priceline buyz my room it can only accomodate 2 ppl... but i have 4... will that be much of a problem
bschnuck Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 I'm sure the other guys here will be able to give you more insight into this, but I have never had problem getting the room choice we need. Just call ahead and check in early. The one time I checked in late at night, we did get a less than desirable room.
bbbb Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 The problem night is the 29th of Dec. If it were me I would split this bid. I think you can get all 3 nights at the Venetian. By splitting this bid theres away the chance you might not get the 29th.I would bid Dec 27th & 28th like this$130 $135$140$145$150$155I think this will do the trick. Then the night of the 29th like this$180$195$205$215$225 $235$245$255I think these amounts are very close to what is going to take. All the suites at the Venetian have a pull out sofa. Theres usualy a charge for a room with anything but a king bed.
wannabee Posted October 26, 2005 Author Report Posted October 26, 2005 Will try this and will let y'all know ... thanks for the help!!!!!i have a early morning flite on the 30th.... (7am) so even if i dont have 29th nite in the ventian i dont think my parents wud kill me :)
wannabee Posted October 30, 2005 Author Report Posted October 30, 2005 So yeah i tried to break down the bidding.... i tried till 130 for 27 n 28th but no luck.....so i guess i will compromise my pride and stay at 4* hopefully i can win the bid then :)
dahammer Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 how about The Westin Casuarina Las Vegas Hotel for $80?? Its not the Venetian, but its a great deal. This is "just off" the strip and can be booked through EasyClickTravel Travel, it appears as an "Off The Record" Property. It also looks like the Monte Carlo is available for $128 for your dates. You should also check out Las Vegas Checker and you can search the rates for 6 properties at once.Good luck,
wannabee Posted October 31, 2005 Author Report Posted October 31, 2005 thanks a lot for yr suggestions but i have only one prob.. its my parents first time to Vegas.... i wud rather have them stay on the strip.... i guess monte carlo for 128 sounds goood to me.... I will book my hotel tonite or tmr morning n will let u know which one i decided. Thanks once again
