Daniel Posted October 24, 2005 Report Posted October 24, 2005 I used SavingsBarn.com to book the hotel. choose Edison-Woodbridge, check in 10/28, check out 10/30try $40 for 3*, rejected. try $40 for 2.5*, hope to get the Hilton Garden Inn, rejected. Then use another account, try $45 for 3*, get Sheraton At Woodbridge Place.Sheraton at Woodbridge Place515 Route 1 SouthIselin, New Jersey, 08830As I know, this is a great hotel. And many people got it for $45, as I checked from another bidding site. But nobody listed it here.BTW, I will spend one day in NYC. Since we have four people, it is a little expensive to take the train. We plan to drive to Staten Island and take the free ferry. Is it a good choice? Anybody has other suggestions?
dahammer Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 can you confirm the zone that you submitted a bid? I believe this hotel is in the East Brunswick-Edison zone and the Sheraton Raritan is in the Edison Woodbridge Zone.Driving to Staten Island to take the ferry....... it is a $6.00 toll from NJ (one way, free return), parking is $6.00, I would think the parking lots get filled by commuters. The NJ transit Off Peak fare is $12.50 round trip. You could drive to a PATH staion, but parking is $8.00-20.00 depending on the station. Here is the Path Parking Guide The PATH fare is $1.50 each way, but you don't get a boat ride :)
Daniel Posted October 25, 2005 Author Report Posted October 25, 2005 It is Edison-Woodbridge zone. 100% sure.Do you think the parking lots on Staten Island be will easily filled even on weekends? We plan to be there before 10am on Saturday.
