lindsayr Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 I bid on a Resort in the Kamuela area started at $128 like a couple of people have said they have the Hilton Waikaloa Village at. Rejected. Added Kona area and rebid at $130, rejected.Added Hilo since there are no resorts in that area either, rebid at $135. Rejected also.Is there a better day to bid? Do Priceline prices go up on weekends since more people are bidding? Should I try to rebid in 72 hours? Thanks for any help! This board is great!Lindsay

lindsayr Posted October 24, 2005 Author Report Posted October 24, 2005 I was hoping to spend between $80 and $140 per night for hotel based on other posts I had read... I am thinking about bidding on a four star and hoping for the Marriott... I have read that their north tower renovation is supposed to be complete Novemeber 15th and so at that point the rooms should be refurbished. I have read a lot of mixed reviews on it though... some people rave and others not so much :)We are staying at the Hapuna Prince Beach Resort for the first 5 nights of our trip on business and are spending a night in Volcano at a Bed and Breakfast on the 15th...
lindsayr Posted October 24, 2005 Author Report Posted October 24, 2005 I rebid this afternoon for a 4* as well hoping for the marriott at $80, $90 and $100.No luck again... any tips other than to try again in 72 hours? Thanks fellow deal hunters!Lindsay

LoneStar Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 Have you searched day by day on priceline vacations and hotwire? Is there a "problem day" for low rates?
