My guess for the La Jolla property would be the Grande Colonial Hotel, but i'm not certain as this hotel is no longer pet friendly (they were at one time which is why i'm not excluding it and still listing it as a possibility as the HOTWIRE listing simply may not have been updated when they revised their policy). So proceed with caution with this one and realize it may be some other property, although with a 4.5/5.0 TA rating i wouldn't be too concerned with quality.

For the Shelter Island property my guess would be a new amenity set for the Catamaran Resort Hotel.

Do you know if the Grande Colonial has self service laundry? The only two 4 star hotels in La Jolla with that TA rating are the Marriott La Jolla and Grande Colonial and neither shows having self service laundry.

The Grand appears to have laundry service. Some services appear to list laundry for the Marriott, as well.

I called both and the Marriott La Jolla is the only hotel with self service laundry facilities, so my best guess would be the Marriott La Jolla. As we wanted something a little closer to downtown La Jolla we will keep looking.

I think we are going to try for La Jolla after all as the TA reviews for the Catamaran were hit or miss!
