Priceline Hotel: 3* Newark (Secaucus-North Bergen) Crowne Plaza

In March, I had made repeated stays at the Amerisuites for $55 while commuting between NJ and Florida so I tried again, but with no luck.

Bid 1--3* $55 Rejected Secaucus 10/31-11/3

Bid 2--2.5* & 3* $55 Rejected Secaucus 10/31-11/3

Bid 3--2.5* & 3* $60 Rejected (Added Meadowlands) 10/31-11/3

Bid 4--2.5* & 3* $65 Rejected 10/31-11/1

Bid 5--2.5* & 3* $70 Accepted 11/1-11/3

Bid 6--2.5* & 3* $70 Accepted 10/31-11/1

Only thing here, while pecking for the target rate, was that it cost me 2 priceline service charges.

Hotel given - Crowne Plaza Meadowlands. If you have a wireless lan card, you can pick up free internet from the Amerisuites across the parking lot.

Bus to NYC right outside the door, and free parking if you have a car.

Used SavingsBarn link on both bookings, but SavingsBarn would be more useful if it had a pop-up calendar to fill in the dates. Can you pass it along?

you would need some wireless card to pick up the Amerisuites signal, these hotels are about a mile apart! :)

There is a Holiday Inn across the street from the Amerisuites, the Crowne Plaza Meadowlands is on Meadowlands parkway :)

the Crowne Plaza charges $10 per day for WiFi access.

Ooops. I remembered the Holiday Inn and confused it with the Crowne.

The Crowne is the former Hilton.
