Started bidding on 4 star, at $72 for Vail, added Avon and upped bid to $80 at that time. Was accepted.

bid on 9/25-9/26 one night. Then added a 2nd night.

Note that the hotel usually charges a $30 resort fee, but did not show on Priceline. When they showed me the charge as I checked out, I mentioned this, and they immediately waived it.

Service is so impeccable and everyone is pleasant.

This hotel is beautiful. One of the nicest rooms I've had.

There is a ski lift right outside the window, so in season you'll need to get up with the skiers.

Windows are large & lovely and they open.

Gas fireplace.

Room is large and beautifully decorated.

Nice sofa. Fluffy robes.

Outside pool and hottub, and gas firepit.

Sauna and steam bath!

Walk across the street and lots of shops and dozens of restaurants, which were still open.

Water is included in the room price; coffee in the lobby.

It's just a pleasure to spend time there.

Hotel is expensive and booked up during season.

But appears they have some times during the year when they will post the rooms.

Note that they are closed for about 6-8 weeks a year, reopen thanksgiving week.
