I followed the strategy from my previous Priceline hotel win

However...I started at $215 and worked my way back up after winning the first two nights of my trip in MSG at the Ramada Plaza New Yorker Hotel. I kept checking the PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals and HOTWIRE but no dice. Started at $215...worked up to $255 with no success. Changed to $258 and it accepted. I was hoping originally I could get the same hotel for two nights as it is on a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal for $275 for these nights...but even at $258 it didn't take.

Doubletree Hotel New York City- Financial District

2 Nights at $258 = $516 + $112.64 Taxes and Fees = $628.64.

I will be close to work these two days...that is a positive.

Congratulations on your success and glad to see you were at least able to piece this stay together.

While you are staying downtown i really like this pizza place (it's a restaurant, not a slice shop) which is right down the road from your hotel:

... very good pizza (stick with the rectangular style 'grandma pie' which is what they're are best known for) and reasonably priced for the quality of ingredients that are used; although like most of NYC drink prices are a bit on the high side.
