Hotwire Hotel: Waldorf Astoria

Hello all!

New member here.

I'm attempting to use Hotwire to try and book the Waldorf Astoria at the cheapest rate possible. I put in for a 4* hotel in midtown east, Oct. 31 - Nov. 1 and came up with a couple of descriptions that look like the one listed in the Pinned Hotwire New York hotels here on the board.

1) Selected amenities include:: Restaurant(s), Fitness Center, Tennis Nearby - $208

2) Customer Favorite! Selected amenities include:: Restaurant(s), Fitness Center, Business Center - $215

Do I just take the gamble and go for one of these and hope it's the Waldorf?

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

You can't choose your specific hotel, and the Waldorf has never been reported as a win on Hotwire, so if that is the only hotel you are willing to accept then i don't think you should use Hotwire.

If you're willing to accept other properties we will try to identify the above hotels for you.

Just want to comment on this post. I won the Waldorf Astoria 3 times on hotwire. It was before I found betterbidding.

Nov 2001 (it was the marathon) for $127 per night. Stayed 1 night.

Dec 30, 2001 - Jan 1, 2002 for $132 per night.

Jan 2003 for $135 per night. Stayed 1 night.

I,m pretty sure the amenities were Rest., fitness center and business center.

Can you believe those prices!!
