robcomp Posted August 24, 2003 Report Posted August 24, 2003 The Hyatt Regency Monterey appears in Hotwire as a 3* with Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Business Center, Golf, Tennis. This is a good choice for the price on a weekend night, especially for families. It's right off of Route 1, a short drive to downtown Monterey, Carmel and Pacific Grove. The hotel rooms and common areas are nice, but the rooms are starting to show some signs of wear and could use some updating. I have definitely stayed in much nicer Hyatt hotels. But the location is beautiful right on Del Monte Golf Course. Nice sports bar with lots of TV's, pool tables, darts, etc. Helpful concierge for booking local activities.
