rafamodolo Posted August 30, 2013 Report Posted August 30, 2013 Hi There,For the past 2 years I could book a hotel through here for less than US$ 100, always for the same dates. Do you think it's too early to try ???Could you help making a strategy again. I would love to get Hudson Hotel again...Prefer Times Square and Central Park South. Thanks

rafamodolo Posted August 31, 2013 Author Report Posted August 31, 2013 Hi,2,5 stars - 3,5 stars. I'd like a region more central, it can be around Empire State Building too, Madison Square Garden, Midtown West. Thanks
thereuare Posted August 31, 2013 Report Posted August 31, 2013 It's never too early to try as long as you're patient and don't overbid.Rates in NYC have been creeping up over the last few years as the economy has been improving and sub-$100 bids are only seen at the slowest of times. While this is a slow time of year in NYC, your stay is about 2 weeks long, and high rates for each just one nite wtihin this date range can cause a problem with a low bid being accepted.PRICELINE EXPRESS does have a 3* hotel in the LES zone for $118/nite (Restaurant, Free Internet, Business Center, Fitness Center) and using the discount link code in my signature gives you another 10% off, bringing the cost of this closer to $107/nite.If you prefer to stay more midtown i think you're likely looking at $110-$125 for something in the 3*-4* range... at the 2.5* level HOTWIRE has a 2.5* hotel in the ESB zone for $102/nite (with Complimentary Breakfast Free Internet) and showing 100% recommended and a 4.0/5.0 TA rating. My guess for this one would be the Hotel Stanford and if you're looking to go down to the 2.5* level i would take this one on HOTWIRE since you 'know' the reviews are good (based upon the 4.0 TA rating and the 100% recommendation from previous HOTWIRE guests) whereas if you bid on PRICELINE you could get something that is not as nice (quality can very greatly from one hotel to the next at the lower star ratings). Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and/or how it goes and we'll take it from there. rafamodolo Posted September 2, 2013 Author Report Posted September 2, 2013 Hi,Does the 10% apllies after I book it or it's already the price displayed using your link ? Do I need to type a coupon ?Thanks
yellowdog Posted September 2, 2013 Report Posted September 2, 2013 rafamodoloYou don't have to print the coupon. You enter the "BigCity6" code before you click on the "buy my hotel now" button after you have clicked the PRICELINE link.Let us know if you have any further questions.Yellowdog.PS. Please remember to post the PRICELINE EXPRESS amenities for the hotel you buy.
thereuare Posted September 2, 2013 Report Posted September 2, 2013 To be a bit clearer (as it's not that easy to find unless you know where to look)...After click the PRICELINE EXPRESS offer about halfway down the page you'll see "SUMMARY OF CHARGES". Look at each line item until the end where you'll see TOTAL PRICE... look all the way to the right and there is a link to APPLY COUPON.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know if you have any issues.
