nfahey Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 I wanted to share my failed bids with you incase they could help someone.3*PHL Airport11/23/2005$48...rejected then added free rebid$51...rejected then added 2nd free rebid$55...rejectedIn your opinions, can I get a hotel room at the airport the night before Thanksgiving or am I crazy for even trying?
dahammer Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 you may want to book a cancellable backup and keep trying Priceline. Also, the hotels that have been reported so far as 2* and 2.5* are just fine for a one night stay, would you consider these?
nfahey Posted October 2, 2005 Author Report Posted October 2, 2005 dahammerThanks for the reply. I would consdier a 2* or a 2.5*, but I'd rather wait until closer to the date to lower the star rating. My reason of thinking is b/c most of the 3*'s include parking or charge a very small parking fee. I know the Marriott Countyard does not allow parking, even at a fee, so I'd like to wait until the very end to consider it.Thanks again.Nancy
dahammer Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 the Airport Marriott definately will charge for parking, as far as the other 3* properties, they may offer free parking for the length of your stay, but I'm not sure if they can accomodate long term parking. You may want to reserve a room at the Holiday Inn as they offer long term parking. You can use the Travel Links to Help Support BetterBidding to access the Holiday Inn website.
nfahey Posted January 10, 2006 Author Report Posted January 10, 2006 I used an Apple Vacatiosn promotion at the Sheraton Suites. Including parking it was approximately $115.
