The amenities are laundry and fitness. I will be around the Chelsea/SoHo area for my stay so actually that area works best for me. Any additional guidance would be great, it just seems like $136/night is a great deal for Sat night in NYC. Thanks!

As BlueSkies had suspected, this is most likely (no guarantees) the Club Quarters, which is much more "downtown" than it is Soho/Chelsea.

Another user just got the New York Hilton (in MTW) for $120/nite... i now suspect it can be had for maybe $115, and i would sooner choose a 4* for less than the Club Quarters (which is 'fine', but has notoriously small rooms... not that the rest of Manhattan does not :) )

If you were to get a hotel in midtown you could very easily take a subway to SoHo in under 10 minutes and in NYC i would choose the nicer hotel with the 10 minute commute than a lesser hotel (this is my opinion, yours may differ).

If you wanted to try for a 4* hotel in MTW i would bid as follows (if you're not familair with re-bidding or have questions just post back):

Select 4* MTW...

Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $120.

Post back with your thoughts on the above and/or try the above and let us know how it goes.

Thanks! $115/night would be amazing. I can stay anywhere in Manhattan really, I agree with you about staying in a nicer place and taking the subway to get downtown. Is there any other section besides MTW that I should focus on? I've done the re-bid process for airline tickets, is it the same for hotels? If you could direct me to a quick orientation that would be great just to make sure.

PRICELINE RE-BIDDING EXPLAINED

I would start with the above as i don't think too many other areas will be close in price and based upon the previous poster i suspect you'll be successful with the above bidding... if it fails we'll take it from there and suggest a different strategy which include other zones.
