I have no problem committing this far in advance, in fact i normally would prefer to know where im going as early as i can. And with rates that fluctuate as much as they do, if its a decent hotel im going to book right away.

Unfortunately this property has not yet been reported to the board and i while researching i was unable to gain any insight into this one.

Since this an extended stay you could see if this same property is offered for the first (or last) nite(s) of your stay and then again for the balance. If so, you could purchase the solo nite in order to 'look behind the curtain'. If you're happy with the results purchase the remaining nites, if not, make alternate plans for the balance of your stay.

It looks as if there is an error in the Better Bidding Hotwire Hotel Listing for Cancun. The LIVE AQUA All-Inclusive ADULTS ONLY Resort is currently listed in the South Hotel Zone, when it should be listed in the North Hotel Zone.

When you compare the listing description in this thread to the listing description in an earlier thread from March 2013 here Hotwire Cancun they are identical except for the star rating. The listing in March that was mistaken for the Le Blanc Resort was actually the LIVE AQUA and it was listed in the NORTH hotel zone, not the SOUTH.

I just checked HOTWIRE and the dates in February 2014 that this poster is seeking info for, and the 5 Star All-Inclusive North Hotel listing states it is Adults Exclusive. I don't know what it going on with the star rating and if HOTWIRE has made a mistake or changed something, but based on all the other info that is virtually identical, I suspect this North Hotel property is the LIVE AQUA Adults Only Resort.

Thanks for the note... i had just recently updated the hotel lists for this area and the map i was (and am) using had this property incorrectly plotted in the South zone. I have re-checked with 3 other map sources and see that it is indeed in the North zone and have updated the Hotwire Hotel List accordingly.

As far as the star rating, they do change over time as HOTWIRE gets feedback from users, so it is likely that the star rating has changed, but we don't update the hotel lists until confirmed with a 'win'.

Glad to help if I can. I have noticed that Hotwire will change the star rating on properties and agree that this is probably the case with LIVE AQUA. Hopefully someone will report a win for this hotel soon so we know for sure if it has been upgraded to 5 stars.

BTW, I also noticed that the Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort in Cancun needs to be corrected in your Hotwire Hotel list. It should be listed in the North Hotel zone and not the Downtown Cancun area. I won this property earlier this year and reported it to the board so I still remember the details. This hotel happens to be located right next door to Live Aqua so I can personally confirm that both properties are in the same area (and both resorts are beautiful!). :)
