travelily Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 We have a group of 4 ppl traveling to las vegas from 12/1 to 12/5. We would like to stay at a 5* hotel. It is okay for us to squeeze in one room as long as the room offers 2 queen beds. What type of room does Venetian normally offer through priceline? Our budget is $120/night for the whole group. Any strategy?
Blueskies Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 Venetian normally charge extra $30 for 2 Q beds but all rooms have a sofa bed as well as King or 2 Queens. Have you looked at Venetian rates? Don't think you are likely to get $99 bid for your whole stay so are you will to split your bid?
thereuare Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding! One problem is that when using Priceline is that you can't ensure that you will get a room with 2 queen beds, so you will have to decide if you are willing to take this risk or not.If not, you could try Hotwire, which may cost you a little more, but also ensure that there are enough sleeping accomodations for everyone in the group. If you're only considering a 5* hotel, i think you'll definately have to split your bid, as your maximum amount is not realistic for all of these dates. Are you willing to split your bid? If so, how many times are you willing to change hotels? (Thursday-Monday stays in Vegas are the worst from a logistical standpoint) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
