Ernieg Posted July 1, 2013 Report Posted July 1, 2013 Select 4* Champs Elysees - Arc De Triomphe and Latin Quarter and Montparnasse and Montmarte...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $68, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $73, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINEI am getting ready to bid for Paris. Just want to make sure that I am understanding the bidding strategy that you outlined for another BB guest.....Am I correct in that I select Champs Elysees, Latin Quarter, Montparnasse and Montmarte all at one time and put in my starting bid, add rebid zones and increase bid accordingly each time? I'm not exactly sure what zone we need to be in. We're there for a short time after visiting Scotland and England and plan on seeing Versailles, City Tour of Paris and a trip out to Normandy. I've been to Paris once but it was a long time ago and I don't remember exactly where we stayed. We will be using the RER to get around. Do you have any recommendations on appropriate zones to consider?
thereuare Posted July 1, 2013 Report Posted July 1, 2013 Any success for your Priceline Rome stay? Please post a follow-up there with your current thoughts or any decision that you have made for that leg of your trip. For above, you have interpretted the bidding strategy correctly as it was posted, but that may not be such a viable plan for your dates as rates are date specific and based upon current prices it doesn't look like $75 is realistic for a 4* hotel in those zones for your dates. What is your expected budget for a 4* hotel for this leg of your trip? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Ernieg Posted July 2, 2013 Author Report Posted July 2, 2013 We are in hopes of securing 2 rooms for 3 nights for $140. per night, per room, including all fees.Rome Stay - my travel companions decided to rent a 3 bedroom apartment in the Trevi Fountain area. Are there other zones that we could possibly add to our bid that wouldn't be "free rebid" zones? Like I mentioned above I don't have a feel for what areas we should consider based on what we have planned.
