Puffin McCoy Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 I just booked this hotel for September. It's the Langham. See my Hotwire hotel topic.
Markar Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 I don't think it's the Langham. I think it's the Fairmont-Battery Warf. There are 3 5* hotels in this area. Boston Harbor and Langham both have pools but Fairmont doesn't.
thereuare Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 Puffin McCoy,Your Hotwire Hotel win showed an Indoor Pool among the amenities... the hotel above does not.travelmom98,My best guess would be a new amenity set and upgrade of the Fairmont Battery Wharf. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. travelmom98 Posted June 29, 2013 Author Report Posted June 29, 2013 Thank you for your help. I looked at the Fairmont Battery Wharf site and the best available room rate for a standard double (which is what we'd likely get)is $269 and that can be canceled until July 13, so I'm not sure if the rate is such a great deal (it is $40 off, but with less flexibility). I'll think on it and watch to see if price moves down. Also, thanks for pointing out the no pool thing. I'm traveling with my kids and I'm sure a pool would be welcomed. Also, I put in 2 adults and 2 children in each room, but, in actuality, we are a family of 5--2 adults, 3 children. What we want is 2 adjoining rooms. Ideally with one king adjoining to a room with 2 doubles. I know that I can't guarantee that, so I need to make sure that at the minimum we have 2 double rooms. Is that ever a problem when you don't really have as many people as you indicated? Thanks again!
yellowdog Posted June 30, 2013 Report Posted June 30, 2013 Is that ever a problem when you don't really have as many people as you indicated? No, this isn't a problem but there's no guarantee for adjoining rooms or any specific bed configuration. You can call the hotel after you have booked it and ask if they can help you with your request. Let us know how we can help you further with your stay. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases and searches.Yellowdog.PS. please remember to follow-up this thread with whatever you end up doing for this trip, even if you don't use PRICELINE or HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book direct, etc.
travelmom98 Posted January 31, 2015 Author Report Posted January 31, 2015 We ended up booking on our own through hotel Revere to ensure that we would have adjoining rooms.
