We are planning a baseball trip to Pittsburgh July 28, 2013 for 2 nights.

Is there an optimal amount of time (prior to the trip) to bid?

Also, I see there are many re-bid zones. Any suggestions for a bid strategy to locate a 3.5* property downtown at the best price?

We would like to keep to a budget of $80/night if possible.

Started bidding for 3.5* downtown Pittsburgh at $65 for July 28-30, then used re-bid zones to get the Wyndham downtown at $81/night. Took about 9 or 10 bids.
