ColoradoJay Posted September 14, 2005 Report Posted September 14, 2005 Does anyone know of a foulproof way of getting either the Walt Disney World Swan, Walt Disney World Dolphin or the Walt Disney Hilton?? My friends and I are broke college students looking to go down for Fall break so we need to book ASAP. Any help you can offer would be more than appreciated... how the heck does anyone afford Disney!?!? I'll use either Priceline or Hotwire!!
Blueskies Posted September 14, 2005 Report Posted September 14, 2005 ColoradoJayIf you look at Hotwire hotel list that will help.4* SwanCustomer FavoriteAmenities: Resort, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Spa, Golf, Tennis, Business, Laundry 4* Walt Disney World HiltonCustomer FavoriteAmenities: Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Business Center4* DolphinAmenities: Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Business, Golf, Tennis, Laundry(NOTE: thru Hotel Product, these amenities are the same as those for the Swan, so you could get either one)So just look for these icons next to the Hotwire offers. You may not see them come up either because they are not available of it may be because another 4* is cheaper/listed as Hotwire only lists one hotel per level. If you check back later and sometimes it just takes you re-opening the browser then you may get a different offer.Hotwire makes it easier to idenify/target but is often a bit more expensive. Hotwire has the advantage of being able to state occupancy but Priceline guarantees only double occupancy (which could be one double bed) so if you want to share say three or four in a room then this may work out cheaper. Priceline has too many hotels that are in the resort category for that area and you would really need to be happy with any of them to bid. Dolphin and Swan are not that two of the more commonly won resort hotels. Gaylord Palms seems to come up more and the Hilton Resort. Good luck
thereuare Posted September 14, 2005 Report Posted September 14, 2005 I'll add that when using the opaque services there is nothing foolproof... you can greatly stack the odds in your favor, but not is 100% guaranteed. ColoradoJay Posted September 14, 2005 Author Report Posted September 14, 2005 Thanks for your help... One more question concerning Priceline:Sorry, im new to this... so I just searched for vacation packages for my trip, in the resort category in the WDW area I got the Hilton and the Mariott, the Hilton WDW being the cheaper of the two. Does this mean if I bid for a resort in this area that I am more than likely to get the Hilton for my dates seeing as I would bid low for a resort and those are the only two offered for the package and the Hilton costs less? Maybe im just being too optimistic about this, lol.THANKS!!
thereuare Posted September 14, 2005 Report Posted September 14, 2005 Not all opaque hotels participate in the vacation product. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
