A coworker of mine had stayed there and said it is at best a 3 star hotel. Not sure why Hotwire has it listed as 4*. Very disappointed. :(

I have to agree that this is in no way a 4* Hotel. It is a former Holiday Inn, and although there is a hipper decor, its not a 4*. I actually will not bid this zone (Palm Springs - Cathedral City) anymore because I am afraid of getting this property. You may want to just bid the Rancho Mirage Indian Wells zone for future stays. The 4* properties in that area are truly 4*.
